The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) voiced Irans readiness to extend its gas export deal with neighboring Iraq.
Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji issued a decree appointing Majid Ghegeni as his deputy for gas affairs and the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).
Iranian parliament approved Javad Owji as the new petroleum minister by giving him vote of confidence.
Although Iran faced a reduction and lack of access to oil revenues in the face of sanctions, it was able to overcome these conditions as safely as possible by increasing exports of petroleum products and currency appreciation, which was made possible by the development of gas supply in the country.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the opening ceremony of the Ministry of Petroleums national projects through a videoconference in Tehran on June 24, 2021, said 95.1 percent of the countrys population is covered by the gas supply network which is a unique figure at international level.
Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zangeneh has stated that over 95 percent of the countrys population is currently enjoying natural gas through the countrys huge national network.
Managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) says that the national gas transferring network covers 95 percent of the countrys population.
