In a telephone conversation with his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedow on Tuesday, Iranian President expressed satisfaction with the significant growth in Iran-Turkmenistan relations in recent years, especially rise in volume of bilateral trade, Iran"s SHANA news agency reported.

For his part, Berdimuhamedow expressed satisfaction with the growing trend of relations between the two countries in various political, economic and cultural sectors.

Appreciating the active and effective participation of Iran in the joint meeting of the Economic Commission of the two countries, the Turkmen leader voiced his country"s readiness to expand the level of cooperation and implement the bilateral agreements in the energy, transportation, transit and cultural sectors.
