Iranian Minister of Oil Mohsen Paknejad said that the presence of energy and oil ministers from the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Tehran highlights Iran’s resilience, stability, and high level of security under current conditions.

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) plays a crucial role in enhancing international relations between producers and consumers, fostering constructive cooperation, and increasing the prominence of natural gas in the global energy market, President of the GECF Ministerial Meeting, Mohsen Paknejad said.

The Iranian capital will host the 26th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) on November 6-8, the deputy minister of international affairs and commerce at Iran’s Ministry of Oil said.

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Saeed Tavakoli has said that connecting the Iranian and Russian gas networks is very important in supplying energy to the region, describing Iran’s position at the center of the North-South energy corridor as unique.

Iranian First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref announced that strengthening Tehran-Moscow cooperation is a fundamental policy of the 14th government, underlining the necessity of expanding collaboration between the two countries in various fields.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian described the agreements between Iran and Turkmenistan in the gas sector as a strategic step towards turning Iran into a regional gas hub and within the framework of securing the interests of the two countries.

Iran and Turkmenistan signed a gas cooperation document in Tehran in the presence of the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the National Leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

The Iran-Russia gas transfer agreement is a great step forward and will turn Iran into a regional gas hub, opening a new chapter in regional and international relations, the vice chairman of the parliament’s energy committee Ramezanali Sangdovini said.
