More than 1,500 domestic and 250 foreign companies will take part in the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also known as Iran Oil Show 2024.
Iran welcomes Turkish companies participation in projects of its oil industry, said Oil Minister Javad Owji on Thursday.
Iran has exported about 52 billion cubic meters of natural gas, valued at $15 billion, to Iraq since 2017 under two contracts, the deputy oil minister and managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said Iran is ready to turn into an energy hub in the region and become a safe route for distribution and transit of gas between producers and consumer markets.
Irans Oil Minister Javad Owji said international peace and de-politicization of the energy trade are key factors in the development of the gas industry and materialization of the security of supply and demand of the natural gas in the global market.
Iran will host the 26th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) this year.
President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi voiced Irans readiness to promote cooperation with Turkmenistan in gas and electricity sectors.
Iran is ready to enhance cooperation in gas industry with Russia in the exchange of technology and equipment manufactured in the gas industry, said the deputy oil minister for gas affairs on Friday.
