The opening ceremony was attended by Iran"s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri, The head of the economic group of the Supreme Leader"s Office Ali Aghamohammadi, Oil Minister Javad Owji, Science, Research and Technology Minister Mohammad-Ali Zolfigol, Syrian Oil Minister Firas Hassan Kaddour, a number of the Iranian Parliament"s members as well as senior officials of oil industry.
According to the report of the public relations of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), over 1,500 domestic and 200 foreign firms from 13 countries, including Russia, China, Germany, Spain, France, India, Turkey and Oman, have participated in the exhibition.
"Oil Industry; Technological Production, Optimal Consumption" is the motto of this year"s event.
The exhibition will run through Saturday, May 20 at Tehran International Permanent Fairground.
