Irans gas exports have increased by 19 percent in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21- August 22), compared with the same period of last year, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Majid Chegeni announced.
According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, Chegeni said that the country"s average daily gas export has been 70 million cubic meters in the five-month period of this year, while the figure was 59 million cubic meters in the same time span of the previous year.
Saying that gas export to Iraq experienced a 20-percent rise last year, he also announced about rising gas export to Turkey in the present year.
