On Monday, Dr Hassan Rouhani inaugurated development plan and improvement of gas dispatching centre, inauguration of the sixth and ninth Trans-Iranian gas pipelines, operation of five pressure boosting stations, the first phase of Bushehr Petrochemicals and the 500 MW West Karun Combined Cycle Power Plant in a video conference.
According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, the major gas transmission projects will boost gas transfer capacity of the national gas network by 110 million cubic meters per day.
The mentioned lines, together 1,850 km long, entailing five pressure boosting stations are extended from Assaluyeh, southern Iran, to Miandoab, northwest of the country.
The construction of sixth and ninth Trans-Iranian gas pipelines, in addition to being stable in supplying gas to the cold provinces of the country, also has an export advantage and plays an important role in energy exchanges with countries in the region.
