He stated that Tehran-Moscow’s $rm determination to improve the level of relations has

an important message for the world and the path of gas cooperation stated between the

two countries will lead to bigger understandings and contracts.

During a meeting with Alexey Miller, special representative of the President of the

Russian Federation and the CEO of Gazprom Company, Mokhber stated that the signing

of the MOU on the export of Russian gas to Iran is very important for improving the

security and economy of the region.

Stating that Martyr Raisi was always looking for the $nalization of the memorandum of

understanding on the transfer of natural gas from Russia to Iran, the Acting President

continued, “With the signing of this memorandum, the Islamic Republic of Iran will

become a regional gas hub and a new chapter will be established in the region and

international relations”.

Alexey Miller the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation and

the CEO of Gazprom company, also stated in this meeting that the signing of the

memorandum of understanding on the export of Russian gas to Iran is a very important

and big step that will have very positive results in the region in the future, adding, “The

presidents of the two countries were actively pursuing the signing of this memorandum,

and Gazprom of Russia and its subsidiaries are committed to seriously convert the

provisions of this memorandum into a contract so that it can be implemented as soon

as possible”.

Also, after this meeting, a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation in

the $eld of natural gas transfer from Russia to Iran was signed between National Iranian

Gas Company and Gazprom Company in the presence of the Acting President and

Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation and the CEO of

Gazprom Company.
